Shipping insurance no longer allowed on eBay - As you are aware - recent eBay policy states that optional buyer charges for shipping insurance will no longer be allowed. Sellers can still buy shipping insurance and add the cost to the item or shipping price. Therefore, in Kyozou as of November 6th, any reference to shipping insurance will be removed from eBay checkout.
Kyozou is now developing the ability for sellers to easily combine the already-configured insurance rates in the fixed shipping table, with the shipping cost, and send this value to eBay as One shipping value. Until this feature is completed, you may opt to send your insurance cost as a part of the handling fee.
Note that this change only applies for eBay sales. Other venues will not be affected and insurance may be purchased as optional or mandatory.

Return Policy and Handling time mandatory for all listings, effective Sept 22nd - As you are aware, eBay has mandated that all listings (including Good Til Cancelled type (GTC)) must have both a handling time and a return policy specified to be considered valid. Effective Sept 22nd, any active listings not having either a handling time or return policy will be ended by eBay.

Note: Your Return Policy and handling time can be configured in one of two places:
1. The Control Panel (step 11 --> eBay seller account defaults)
2. On the product details page for any product

To prevent your listings from being ended for non-compliance, Kyozou has built a tool to modify your live listings (where possible). Please provide answers to the following in order to assist Kyozou in updating your active listings that are affected by this change.

1. For active GTC items that DO NOT have Return Policy specified, would you like to:
a. Use the Return Policy I have specified in my seller account settings (step 11) from control panel
b. Use the Return Policy I have specified in the product details for the corresponding product
c. End the listing
d. Use the following values (indicate your option):
- Returns Accepted: YES / NO
- Refund Type: Money Back / Exchange / Merch Credit
- Refund Within (days): 3 / 7 / 14 / 30 / 60
- Refund Details (text to describe): __________________________

2. For active GTC items that DO NOT have Handling Time specified, would you like to:
a. Use the Handling Time I have specified in my seller account settings (step 11) from control panel
b. Use the Handling Time I have specified in the product details for the corresponding product
c. End the listing
d. Use the following value:
- Handling Time (days): 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20

Please note that active listing updates are allowable only at eBay's discretion abnd must adhere to eBay policy. Kyozou is providing this service as a convenience option but cannot guarantee successful listing updates.

Return Policy and Handling time mandatory for all listings and relists, as well as Good Till Canceled Listings. - Starting in September, handling time and return policy will become required fields for all eBay listings and relists, as well as Good Till Canceled Listings. This is true even if the seller's return policy is not to accept returns. If you do not specify a return policy, eBay will select a default return policy for you. However, you are not required to accept returns. You may specify "No Returns Accepted" as your return policy.

Buyers are more comfortable shopping from sellers offering return policies. Also, research shows that only a very small percentage of sold items are actually returned. A clear return policy can help increase your sell-through rates as well as Detailed Seller Rating.

Please be advised, revisions for eBay listings must be made before September. Items can be easily updated in bulk within Kyozou:
1) Go to the Product Ads : Manage Product Ads page.
2) Select your products by checking the very top check box. Click on the "Change Auctions Options" button.
3) Select "Modify eBay Return Policy" - Can add return policy details, but can't change existing details, eBay will not revise existing policy.
4) Select "Modify eBay Handling Time" - Can change the handling time but the value must be greater than 0.

To update active GTC listings on eBay:
1) Go to the Listings : Auction Watch page
2) Select items you need to revise, from the "Choose one" drop down select "Revise All Available eBay Fields (Full Revision) option. Please note that other changes that were made on the product details page while the item is active on eBay may be implemented as well.

We also advise that you add your return policy and handling time within the Kyozou control panel: step 11 (Marketplace Seller Accounts & Settings), by clicking on your configured eBay account, in order to have this information applied by default on all products added to your inventory in the future.

If you have any additional questions please contact your Kyozou account manager.

Announcing Kyozou Enhanced E-commerce (beta) - Looking at the impact of social networking there is no avoiding the conclusion that a pure e-commerce store is no longer enough. Personal involvement has always been a major factor impacting online conversion.

A study by McKinsey & Co. and Jupiter Media Matrix found that at some sites that have community features, the regular users of bulletin boards and feedback areas generated two-thirds of sales, although they are only accounted for one-third of all visitors.

Kyozou has created KEE (Kyozou Enhanced E-commerce) to enable you to create a customer oriented ecosystem around your online store. KEE will complement your e-commerce site with features such as photo/video gallery, blog, forum, poll, Twitter and the AddThis widget, which allows your visitors to easily post your site to Facebook, Del.icio.us, etc. In addition to those, KEE also includes an eye-catching Featured Product Slide Show.
